Q. What are the dates of the conference?
A. July 26th – July 28th 2012.
Early registration will begin Wednesday, July 27th at 7:00pm for those coming from out of town who desire to arrive the night before.
Q. What is the location of the conference?
A. Moody Bible Institute. 820 N. LaSalle Blvd. Chicago, IL
Q. Is parking available?
A. Parking downtown Chicago is a precious commodity. Parking will be available at Moody for $15 for the full length of the conference, or $10 a day. Parking will be purchased at the registration table. Parking is limited and will be first come, first served.
Q. How much is the conference?
A. Depends on when you register:
The first day of registration is April 9th ($40).
Early bird Registration is April 10th – May 20th ($55).
Late Registration is May 21st – July 23rd ($65).
Door Registration ($75).
Q. Is there group registration?
A. Yes, the first person that registers pays the normal price. Each additional person in the group (of two or more) gets $10 off. Bring up to 20 friends for the discounted rate! Group discounts can only be taken advantage of online.
Q. What if I am only able to come to part of the conference?
A. You will be able to pay at the door. $40 for one full day. $25 for one evening. $15 for evening concert only.
Q. What if I need to cancel my registration?
A. There will be a 10% service charge to cancel registrations. Although, you can exchange your registration for someone else at no charge. There can be no dorm room and food package refunds after Tuesday, July 17. Simply send us an email at legacy@gripyouth.com with your request.
Q. What about the workshops?
A. We have chosen to give Legacy attendees an opportunity to go deep in a specific subject area, as opposed to going wide in numerous subject areas. Each workshop track consists of 4 two hour workshops. There are two workshops on Thursday and two additional workshops on Friday. Pray and look over the various workshop tracks prior to coming to The Legacy.
Workshop tracks will be selected the day of by conference attendees and is dependent on space. So please have a 2nd option available just in case. There will be no pre-selection of workshop tracks.
Q. What is the target age audience?
A. We encourage attendees to be at least 14 years old. The material being covered is rather meaty. Other than that, there is no maximum age.
Q. Is childcare provided?
A. No, sorry. We are unable to provide childcare.
Q. If I am an artist. How can I be a part of The Legacy?
A. We do not take submissions into consideration for performing at The Legacy. What we offer is that you come and build with us and we will see how the relationship develops. We only work with artist and ministers that we know personally, so this has nothing to do with business. Come and build with us.
Q. Should I bring non-believers or young believers?
A. This conference is more for mature believers. We have geared this conference to helping the mature believers grow even deeper in the faith. But the concerts will be a great place to bring unbelievers, especially on Saturday.
Q. What is the theme to this year’s conference?
A. Sola Gratia (Grace Alone). “But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to be children of God, who were born not of blood nor the will of flesh nor the will of man but of God.” John 1:12-13
